MAZAR-E-SHARIF: The exhibition of domestic products under the theme of “Umu-l Belaad” opened Tuesday, in Mazar-e-Sharif city the capital of Balkh.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Islamic Emirate’s officials, producing companies and national and international organizations.
The provincial head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Balkh, Assadullah Asadi, said that the exhibition was organized with the aim of introducing and supporting domestic products.
“The domestic products exhibitions that lead Afghanistan toward self-sufficiency special attention will be paid,” Asadi said.
Appreciating the show, exhibitors called on the country’s citizens to support domestic products by participating in the exhibitions.
On the other hand, the head of the country’s industries and mines, Imamuddin Sanayezada, during the opening of the exhibition said that after the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate, 205 factories were established and more than 30 thousand people were employed.
The country’s domestic products are showcased in 90 booths at the “Umul Balad” exhibition.
Economic experts called holding such exhibitions to be effective in promoting Afghanistan’s domestic products.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has recently said that during the current year, they have organized 13 domestic products exhibitions.
