KABUL: The Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting on Saturday with the advisor of Russian President Ruslan Edelgeriyev, discussed Russia’s cooperation in the field of environmental and forest protection, the ministry said in a statement.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, urged Russia to provide training to the relevant bodies in environment and forestation protection.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the participation of Afghanistan’s representatives in international climate change meetings.
Also, Russia’s president advisor, said that Russia will support the participation of the Afghan delegation in COP29 which is due to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, according to the statement.
The meeting took place, while, yesterday Nangarhar University hosted an International Conference on Climate Change.
