Around 7,500 families receive humanitarian aid in some province

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has distributed humanitarian aids including foodstuffs and cash to 7,500 families in 5 provinces of the country, the ministry said in a statement Monday.

The assistance was provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and with the cooperation of the related directorates of the ministry distributed to needy families in Maidan Wardak, Laghman, Khost, Logar and Nooristan provinces, according to the statement.

The process of providing assistance for needy families by international organizations and domestic institutions is ongoing throughout the country.
