EU’s foreign policy chief urges US to stop sending military aid to Israel

KABUL: Chie of the European Union Foreign Policy Josep Borrell called on US President Joe Biden to stop sending weapons and military equipment for Israel “too many people” are being killed in Gaza.

Borrel made the remarks in a Brussels news conference on Monday, with Philippe Lazzarini of the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees UNRWA in Gaza.

Pointing to US President Joe Biden’s remarks last week that Israel’s military action was “over the top”, Borrell said: “Well, if you believe that too many people are being killed, maybe you should provide less arms in order to prevent so many people have been killed.”

“Netanyahu doesn’t listen to anyone,” said Borrel asking “They are going to evacuate- where? To the moon? Where are they going to evacuate these people?”

The criticism of the President of the United States regarding sending weapons to Israel has been raised while nearly 30,000 people have been killed in the Zionist attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past four months.
