Turkey opens a new chapter to strengthen relations with Egypt

KABUL: President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his visit to Cairo, in a joint press conference on Wednesday, with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said ‘Turkey is opening a new chapter of relations with Egypt’.

The President of Turkey said: “We want to improve our relations with Egypt to an appropriate level, and there is a mutual willingness and desire for this matter.”

Meanwhile, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, has said that his country will expand relations, especially in the trade sector, with Turkey up to 15 billion U.S. dollars.

“Turkey and Egypt face significant common security and economic challenges, and we are eagerly awaiting regional stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and the resolution of disputes.” Said El-Sisi.

Also, both sides discussed security issues in Libya, Sudan, and Gaza situation.
