KABUL: Head of Rock Green United company in a meeting with the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar said they are investing in the establishment of oil and gas refinery in the country, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, this German investor wants to invest in transferring and installing surveying, exploration and oil and gas processing machinery.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, praised the company’s interest in investing in Afghanistan.
He added that Afghanistan has 200,000 square kilometers of oil and gas mines, which are divided into five areas.
According to the statement, among these, only the Amu Darya oil field has been targeted for exploration and extraction.
Previously investors from several other countries have also expressed their interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mines.
