KABUL: Spokesman of the State Ministry for Natural Disaster Management Mullah Janan Sayeeq in a video tape said today that 25 people were killed and 8 others wounded as a result of a mountain slide in Nuristan province.
According to him, the incident took place last night as a result of heavy rainfalls and snowfalls in the Teeten Dara area of the Nurgram district of the province.
“As a result of the heavy snowfall, 15 to 20 residential houses in Nurgram district of Nuristan Province have been partially and completely destroyed,” said the spokesman.
This is happening, while heavy rainfall and heavy snowfall are going on in most provinces of the country.
