KABUL: Following the distribution of humanitarian aid to destitute families the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements on Saturday that foodstuffs and cash were distributed to 17,000 families in nine provinces of the country.
The aids were distributed to destitute families in Kabul, Kunar, Nuristan, Laghman, Paktika, Samangan, Baghlan, Kunduz and Kapisa provinces, said the statement.
According to the Ministry, humanitarian aid has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and through a transparent process distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.
The process of distributing aid to destitute families by international humanitarian organizations continues countrywide.
Two days ago, more than 10, 000 families received aid in several provinces of the country.
