Efforts underway to export Afghan marble to global markets

KABUL: The head of Ami Oglu Group, Rajab Mustafa Oglu, in a meeting, here in Kabul, with the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi said that efforts underway to export Afghan marble to global markets, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.

The head of Oglu Group said that samples of Afghan marble have been sent to several countries for marketing and initiating exports, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Nooruddin Azizi, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, welcoming the company’s interest in investing in marble, assured to introduce his company to the Afghan Marble Sellers’ Union of the country,

Afghanistan possesses abundant reserves of precious and semi-precious stones, including marble.

Afghan pink marble is considered one of the most beautiful stones in the world.
