KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that 101 acres of poppy lands were destroyed in Nangarhar and Kandahar provinces.
The counter-narcotic police personnel of the ministry, during a series of operations destroyed 99 acres of poppy lands in Spin Ghar, Shirzad, Nazeyan, Chaparhar, Pechragam and Khogyani districts of Nangarhar provinces, said the statement adding 2 acres of poppy land has also been destroyed in Kandahar province.
The Islamic Emirate’s efforts in the fight against the cultivation, production, trafficking, sale, and use of drugs have been praised by the international community.
