Extraction of 1,350 tons oil daily in Amu Darya field, Ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said Wednesday that the capacity of oil extraction in the Amu Dara oil field has increased to 1,350 tons per day.

The ministry said in a statement that six new oil wells have been drilled in the Amu Darya oil field, bringing the total number of oil wells to 24 in the Amu Darya field.

According to the ministry’s statement, another 23 new oil wells are planned to be drilled in the Amu Darya oil field in the current year.

The Amu Darya oil field, located in north of the country, is one of the oil-rich regions where oil extraction is currently taking place with investment from China.
