KABUL: The Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Mawlavi Amir Muttaqi, during his trip to Turkmenistan, in a meeting with Mohammad Khan Chakyyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Transport Council of Turkmenistan said that the construction of Lapis Lazuli route is the Islamic Emirate’s immediate priority, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
“The Islamic Emirate is willing to increase transport capacity in Torghundi port by the investment of Turkmenistan, said Minister Muttaqi, adding the increase could facilitate trade between the two nations.
Both sides further discussed the increase of transportation through railway lines between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
