KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements on Thursday that foodstuffs and cash assistance were distributed to over 16,000 destitute families in six provinces of the country.
The aids were distributed to needy families in Kabul, Parwan, Laghman, Nooristan, Helmand and Sar-e-Pul provinces, according to the statement.
According to the ministry, humanitarian aid has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation Development announced the distribution of humanitarian assistance to over 26,000 households in nearly 10 provinces of the country.
