KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, said that for the first time in the past 30 years, an exhibition showcasing Afghan products will be held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, the ministry said in a statement.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi made the remarks during his visit to Turkmenistan on Tuesday, in a meeting with Afghan Businessmen residing in Turkmenistan.
In the exhibition 250 Afghan businessmen will showcase their products, said Minister Muttaqi adding, that the exhibition will be held in March of the current year.
“A comprehensive discussion took place with Turkmenistan officials to address the problems faced by Afghan traders,” the statement quoted Minister Muttaqi as saying.
Turkmenistan, as a neighbor to Afghanistan in the north, has economic relations in the export-import, energy, and railways sectors.
