KABUL: Humanitarian assistance have been donated to nearly 20,000 destitute families in six provinces of the country, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements on Wednesday.
The aids were distributed to 4,920 families in Kunduz, 9,410 families in Paktia, 848 families in Khost, 1,598 families in Kandahar, 2,160 families in Paktika and 1,300 families in Parwan, according to the statement.
According to the ministry, humanitarian aid included food and cash assistance, provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.
The process of distributing aids to destitute families continues countrywide.
