British charge d’affaires says London interested in good relations with Kabul

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir met with British charge d’affares Robert Chatterton Dickson, here in Kabul, Arg said in a statement Thursday.

 “We are interested in fostering positive relations with Kabul and are ready to collaborate with the Islamic Emirate for the betterment and well-being of the Afghan people,” said Dickson in the meeting as quoted by the statement.

He also said that his country is committed to increasing humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.

In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that currently, Afghanistan has a strong, centralized and independent government.

In addition to ensuring countrywide security, drug production and trafficking have been eliminated said Deputy PM adding, that there is no threat to any country from Afghanistan.
