KABUL: The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said in the near future, Afghanistan will be connected to Russia and Kazakhstan via land route.
Minister Muttaqi made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Turkmen elders in the Andkhoi district of Faryab province, according to a videotape published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
While returning from Turkmenistan through land routes Mawlavi Amir Khan met with a number of Turkmen elders in Faryab province.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that he talked with the officials of Turkmenistan and its expected the construction of the Aqina Port road and its linking to the Turkmenbashi dam of Turkmenistan will provide the groundwork for Afghanistan’s connectivity with Kazakhstan and Russia.
In six months, the work of major national projects will begin in the country, He added.
