KABUL: Chaired by the Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the meeting of the Media Violations Evaluation Commission was held today, the ministry said in a statement.
In the meeting, Mullah Khairkhwa said a fund will be allocated for supporting journalists across the country, according to the statement.
The meeting discussed some important issues including the media’s activities, challenges, violations, and suggestions the statement said.
“Lots of facilities have been provided for the media and their problems have been addressed,” said Mullah Khairkhwa and urged the media outlets to continue their activities considering the country’s national interests and Islamic values.
It was decided in the meeting to establish a fund for cooperation with journalists and a committee has been appointed to prepare the procedures for its functioning.
