Three killed, four wounded in first fatal Houthi forces attack on Red Sea shipping

KABUL: The Houthi forces conducted a missile attack on a commercial ship in the Red Sea on Wednesday, media reported.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed in a statement today that as a result of the Houthi forces attack a number of ship’s crew and sailors were killed and wounded.

CENTCOM said the Houthi attack killed 3 sailors and injured at least four crew members and caused “significant damage” to the ship.

Meanwhile, last week, a large British cargo ship was also damaged and sank in the Red Sea as a result of the Houthi forces’ attack.

As of now, Britain has not succeeded in recovering the wreckage of the sunken ship.

The Houthi forces targeting American and British ships in the Red Sea, aim to stop the occupying Israeli regime from ceasing its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
