KABUL: In a meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, India’s special envoy J.P Singh said that India is seeking to expand political and economic relations with Afghanistan, the ministry spokesman said today.
“India is interested in expanding political and economic cooperation with Afghanistan and enhancing trade via Chabahar Port,” Abdul Qahar Balkhi spokesman of the ministry quoted Singh in a statement on his X as saying.
In the meeting, also, both sides discussed bilateral relations and issues relating to trade and transit.
J.P Singh praised the Islamic Emirates’ effort in ensuring security and combating Kharijities (Daesh) in the country.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, has called for the expansion of relations between Afghanistan and India as an important regional country.
Minister Muttaqi urged India’s envoy to facilitate the visa issuance process for Afghan businessmen, patients, and students.
