KABUL: Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund asked the officials of the Islamic Emirate to “separately” monitor and prevent hikes in the prices of consumer goods, especially food items, during the holy month of Ramadan in the country’s markets.
The message was released today [Monday, March 11] on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, requesting national traders and sellers to refrain from price hikes during this month.
Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund asked the rich people not to forget the poor, the needy, and the families of martyrs, orphans, widows, and returning migrants in their charitable and humanitarian assistance.
He asked the Imams of all the country’s mosques to make the people more aware of Sharia guidance by conducting courses on the interpretation of the Holy Quran in the holy month of Ramadan.
Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund stated that this year’s Ramadan coincides with the brutal massacre of Muslims in Palestine by the occupying regime of Israel, and has requested all Islamic organizations and countries to take action to stop the oppression and the current situation in Gaza.
What is happening in Gaza is a dark stain on the pages of history, he said. It should be said that Monday is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in most Islamic countries.
