Hundreds of flood-stranded individuals rescued by 207th Al Farooq Army Corps in Herat

KABUL: The Ministry of National Defense said in a statement on Wednesday that the personnel of the 207th Al Farooq Army Corps rescued 400 people who were stranded in floods in Herat.

According to the statement, our compatriots were stuck during the floods on the Herat-Islam Qala highway.

The Ministry of National Defense further added that its personnel will stand alongside the people of Afghanistan in any circumstances.

Herat in the west of the country has witnessed heavy rains in the last 36 hours.

Due to recent rainfalls, the roof of a house collapsed, in which 10 people lost their lives.
