Mawlavi Abdul Hamid to Iranian officials: Use experience of officials of Da Afghanistan Bank

KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Hamid, the preacher of Zahedan’s Grand Mosque in Iran, has urged Iranian financial authorities to learn from the experiences of the Da Afghanistan Bank (the country’s Central Bank) officials.

He made the remarks during the Friday prayer.

In a videotape that went viral on social media, this Iranian Sunni scholar asked Iran’s officials to maintain contact with the officials of  Da Afghanistan Bank.

Mawlavi Abdul Hamid reiterated that the Islamic Emirate was successful in eliminating corruption, ensuring security, and maintaining the stability of the Afghan currency.

Mawlavi Abdul Hamid’s remarks come at a time when the value of the Iranian currency has sharply declined against the US dollar.

Despite the imposed sanctions on Afghanistan and Iran, the Islamic Emirate has managed to preserve the stability of the Afghan currency.
