Afghan delegation in Uzbekistan to discuss religious issues

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Haj and Islamic Affairs Noor Mohammad Saqib, at the head of a delegation left for Uzbekistan to discuss strengthening religious and education activities, the ministry said in a statement the other day.

The delegation is expected to visit the religious and Islamic centers in the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand of Uzbekistan and will hold talks with the officials of the Islamic institutions of that country regarding the strengthening and development of relations with the Islamic Emirate, the expansion of relations between the scholars of the two countries, and cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of mosques and madrasas, the statement said.

Despite, Uzbekistan has had positive and good relations with the Islamic Emirate, but it is the first time that the IEA religious delegation is visiting the country.
