GARDIZ: The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paktia, Hasibulah Gardizi, in a press conference said today that Kharlachi Gate in the Dand Patan district of the province has been reopened for trade caravans.
“The gate has been opened as a result of efforts made by the Gardiz’s traders union,” said Gardizi.
Kharlarchi is a communication route between Afghanistan and Pakistan, as the gate was closed last week, due to clashes between militants and Pakistani forces along the border line.
