KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) on Tuesday welcomed the newly adopted United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution that calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in the statement that it supports Hamas and Palestinians’ call for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupying forces, humanitarian aid, and the return of displaced people to their homes, the reconstruction of Gaza, and an end to the siege.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this resolution should be implemented as soon as possible.
Also, the IEA called on the UNSC and influential countries to take practical steps to prevent “genocide” against Palestinians and find a fair solution to the issue of Palestine.
It’s mentionable that the members of the UNSC approved the first immediate ceasefire resolution in war-torn Gaza after nearly six months of attacks by the Israeli-occupying regime on the Gaza Strip.
