KABUL: The Russian Special Envoy for Afghanistan Affairs, Zamir Kabulov, in an interview with the Russian state-run news agency TASS has said that the Islamic Emirate has been invited to the upcoming session of the World Islamic Conference, which will be held in Russia.
According to the news agency, the conference is scheduled to be held in the city of Kazan, Russia, in the coming month.
Kabulov said that “Islamic Emirate will be one of the participating members in this conference”.
Meanwhile, the Russian envoy stressed that Kabul and Moscow will jointly fight in counter-terrorism.
Moscow has expressed its commitment to jointly fight terrorism, while the military attaché of the Islamic Emirate has recently officially commenced its duties at the country’s embassy in Russia.
