KABUL: Speaking in a press conference on Friday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said that children in the Gaza Strip are dying due to lack of water and food.
“Six months on, the Israeli military campaign has brought relentless death and destruction to Gaza,” he said adding lives were shattered and children dying for lack of food and water.
“This is incomprehensible and entirely avoidable. Nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people,” Gutterres further added.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, remarks, come on the eve of the six-month anniversary of the Israeli occupation’s invasion of the Gaza Strip.
Tomorrow [April 7], Israel’s invasion on the Gaza Strip will be six months, during which essential infrastructure in Gaza has been destroyed, and more than 30,000 civilians have been martyred, with nearly 100,000 others injured.
