Foundation stone of Nela Bagh housing project worth $71 mln laid down

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, in an official ceremony, on Sunday, laid down the foundation stone of the Nela Bagh project in the capital Kabul, Arg said in a statement.
The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate, the statement said.
According to the statement, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs called Nila Bagh project an important step towards the development and progress of the country.
Speaking in the ceremony, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, said: “Alongside industry, agriculture, electricity, and trade, the Islamic Emirate has also provided investment opportunities for domestic and foreign investors in construction projects”.
Nila Bagh housing project is one of the reconstruction projects in Kabul, which will be built with the gratuitous investment of China, within three years.
This project, with an investment of $71 million and the construction of 56 blocks, will provide living conditions for 1,400 families.
