Unprecedented rains create concern among people in Gulf countries

KABUL: Unprecedented rains which caused flooding on highways in a number of countries, including Abu Dhabi and Oman, created concern among people and seriously affected people, media reported.

It is said that Dubai airport flights have also been delayed and disrupted.

The waves of these rains have also reached Iran and western Afghanistan.

As in Iran, a state of emergency has been declared in some of its cities and schools have been closed.

The Afghanistan Meteorological Agency has also predicted heavy rains in Farah and some other provinces.
