Hundreds of Afghan refugees expelled from Pakistan

KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement on Wednesday that the Pakistani government has forcibly deported 555 Afghan refugees from that country.

According to the statement, 286 of these refugees entered the country through the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province, and 269 others entered through the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar province.

The Islamic Emirate provided 10,000 Afghani in assistance to each deported family said the statement adding the deported families have also been introduced to the United Nations offices and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for receiving further assistance, said the statement.

The process of expelling Afghan refugees from neighboring countries of Pakistan and Iran continues.
