KABUL: The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, on Thursday, signed 10 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the cost of $1.13 million with the representatives of national and international institutes, the ministry said in a statement today.
The institutes will work to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises in Kabul, Baghlan, Herat, Ghor, Logar, Nangarhar, Balkh, Badakhshan and Jawzjan provinces.
With the signing of the MoUs financial and technical support, capacity building for entrepreneurial families, job creation, improving handicraft skills, and supporting smaller, small, and medium-sized businesses will be provided in the respective provinces.
After the restoration of the Islamic Emirate, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has implemented 72 projects worth over $53 million in this sector across the country.
