KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan said that in the solar year 1402, the export of dried fruits to foreign countries has significantly increased in the country.
The ministry adds that the export of dried fruits increased last year by 20% compared to other years.
Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesperson for the ministry, says that last year Afghanistan exported dried fruits to foreign countries worth $466 million.
“Dried fruits were exported to the United States, India, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and Turkey countries,” he said.
On the other hand, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment considers the increase in flights through the country’s air corridors as a key factor in increasing the level of dried fruit exports.
