Iranian President in Pakistan to discuss bilateral relations

KABUL: Leading a high-ranking delegation Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, at the official invitation of the Pakistani government, arrived in Islamabad today.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in a statement said that the Iranian President during his trip to Pakistan will hold meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Senate, and Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

 “Strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding relations in trade, economy, energy, and connectivity are among the topics which will be discussed during the Iranian delegation’s visit to Pakistan.

It is expected that Ebrahim Raisi will also visit the cities of Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan. After the Pakistan’s election, this is the first visit of the high-ranking Iranian delegation to that country.
