Iranian President after Pakistan travels to Sri Lanka

KABUL: Following a three-day visit to Pakistan the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, this morning departed Karachi, Pakistan for Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka, media reported.

The President of Iran has traveled to this country upon the official invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart, Ranil Wickremesinghe.

During his visit to Pakistan, in addition to meeting high-ranking Pakistani officials, Ebrahim Raisi signed Memorandum of Understandings in various sectors between the two countries.

Furthermore, the Iranian president also visited Lahore and Karachi cities of Pakistan.

After recent tensions between Pakistan and Iran, he was warmly welcomed by Pakistani officials.
