Mullah Baradar inaugurates first-ever Afghanistan medical company in Herat

HERAT: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, during his visit to the country’s western province of Herat, inaugurated the first-ever medical company worth $16 million, his office said in a statement the other day.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Herat governor Mawlavi Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, high-ranking officials and traders, according to the statement.

In this company, various medicines, including syrups, pills, powders, and capsules will be produced in accordance with international standards.

In the factory, 350 people are directly and around 2000 people are indirectly employed.

The construction of this factory was started in 2016 by the late Haji Amanullah Amin and after a few years, it was opened today in the presence of high-ranking officials.
