FARAH: The Acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, during his visit to Farah province and inspection of the Bakhshabad dam, on Wednesday, in a gathering of provincial officials stated that the dam is not only an essential requirement for Farah province but also a priority of the Islamic Emirate.
During his visit, Minister Mansour emphasized the completion of subsidiary works and reaching the main construction phase of the dam.
“With the efforts of the Islamic Emirate the construction of Bakhshabad hydroelectric dams begun and considerable progress has been made,” he said.
He said that there is sufficient budget and capacity for the construction of the Bakhshabad dam.
Bakhshabad dam which is located in Farah province, is considered one of the important dams in the country and the excavation work for the diversion tunnels of dam has been completed.
