MAZAR-E-SHARIF: Provincial officials of the country’s northern province of Balkh said that a Biscuit production Factory with a cost of 20,420,000 Afghanis (some 281,387.60 US dollars) started operation in the province.
Head of the company Engineer Ahmad Reshad said that currently, the company produces up to 5 tons of biscuits on a daily base.
According to him, in the plant around 105 women and 30 men are working.
Governor of Balkh Mawlavi Sultan Mohammad Saeed, praising the factory’s operation said: “This is a place of pride for all citizens, that the products of the factory reach different parts of the country.
He also emphasized on the growth and development of domestic production.
