KABUL: The acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour in a meeting today with the Chinese ambassador to Kabul, Zhao Xing, here in his office discussed supplying power for the extraction of Mess Ainak (copper mine) in Logar province, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, the Ministry of Water and Energy has proposed the Bagh Dara power dam in Kapisa province and the Surobi 2 power project in Kabul province for investment.
The ambassador stated that Chinese companies will take the necessary steps to invest in the above-mentioned projects after their evaluations are completed.
He also added that the Chinese contracting company in Mess Ainak mine, in Logar, asked for sufficient electrical energy for the extraction of mine.
The Bagh Dara dam in Kapisa province is one of the important projects, that has not received investment yet.
It is expected that Chinese companies will invest in one of the respective projects.
