Welfare project worth nearly $2 million was inaugurated in Nangarhar

KABUL: The acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, on Saturday, inaugurated a welfare project worth $1.78 million, in Nangarhar province, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, the project includes the reconstruction of irrigation canals, check dams, and rehabilitation of a canal, which have been implemented by the Japanese PMS Institution in the Nazian district of Nangarhar province.

Praising the Institutions work, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, in the inauguration ceremony, said that the Islamic Emirate works around the clock for the progress and reconstruction of the country, said the statement.

With the implementation of the project, dozens of people have been provided with job opportunities in Nangarhar.

It is mentionable that the Islamic Emirate has implemented numerous projects in water management throughout the country.
