KABUL: The Ministry of National Defense spokesman Enayatullah Khawarazmi in a statement rejects the recent claims made by the spokesperson of the Pakistani army that attacks on Chinese citizens were designed in Afghanistan and called it unfounded and irresponsible.
The statement asserts that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is under strict security measures by the Pakistani military, and targeting Chinese citizens demonstrates the weakness of the Pakistani army.
“The Islamic Emirate assures China that it had no role in this matter and they are aware of the reality,” said the statement.
The Ministry of National Defense emphasizes that there are numerous instances where ISIS-K militants have infiltrated Afghanistan from Pakistani soil and carried out attacks.
Stability and security in Pakistan is for the benefit of the region and Afghanistan said the statement adding, we believe in brotherhood and good relations between the two neighboring countries.
Recently the Pakistani army spokesperson claimed that an attack on five Chinese citizens had been planned within the territory of Afghanistan.
