Officials visited archaeological artifacts and progress in Ainak copper mine

KABUL: The acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar accompanied by the acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, and Chinese Ambassador to Kabul Zhao Xing, visited the Ainak copper mine in the country’s eastern province of Logar province, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the officials visited some parts of archaeological artifacts and evaluated the progress of work in the Ainak copper mine, as well as finalizing the plan for the protection of archaeological artifacts, establishing camps, and constructing roads have been discussed with officials from the MCC company.
The officials of the MCC company have expressed their readiness for the start of practical work.
The acting Minister of Information and Culture also spoke about the protection of archaeological artifacts and expressed the ministry’s readiness to start practical work in the extraction of the Ainak Copper Mine.
Efforts are underway to start practical work on the Ainak copper mine.
