KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said on Thursday that 224 development projects worth 278 million Afghanis have been put into exploitation in Laghman province.
According to the ministry’s statement, the projects with the financial support of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) have been implemented in the Alishing and Badpash districts of Laghman province.
The implemented projects include repair and graveling rural roads, canal cleaning, water reservoirs, construction of small bridges, pedestrian paths, alleys, and protective walls.
With the implementation of the development projects, hundreds of people have been provided with job opportunities, said the ministry.
It’s mentionable that the implementation of development projects with the support of international organizations and governmental institutions is ongoing in various provinces of the country.
