Eight Emirati institutions merged into ministries, Mujahid

KABUL: Based on the degree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, eight government institutions merged into ministries, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid told with Radio Omid on Wednesday.

The Supreme Audit Office has been merged into the Deputy General Directorate of Supervision and Prosecution of Decrees and Verdicts, the Medical High Council has been merged into the General Directorate of Public Health under the Ministry of Public Health, the National Drug and Food Administration has been merged into Deputy Ministry under the Ministry of Public Health, and the Railway Directorate has been merged into the Ministry of Public Works, said Mawlavi Mujahid.

He also said that the Central and Provincial Oil and Gas Laboratories of the National Standard Authority have been merged into the Customs Deputy Ministry under the Ministry of Finance, the Central and Provincial Food Laboratories have been merged into the National Drug and Food Deputy Ministry, the Vocational Training Directorate has been merged into the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the National Olympic Committee has been merged into the Physical Education and Sports Directorate of the country.

According to Mawlavi Mujahid, the purpose of merging these institutions is to prevent duplication, expenses, and enhance effectiveness in their activities.

According to the Supreme Leader decree the employees of the merged institutions should be employed based on the needs within the respective ministries.
