Turkish assistance to flood-affected families arrives in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Turkish embassy in Kabul in a statement on its X account said that a 22-ton shipment of Turkey’s aid arrived in Balkh for the recent flood-affected people of the country.

The plane carrying aids including medical supplies and humanitarian assistance landed at Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi Airport in Mazar-e-Sharif City.

Turkey’s aid for the flood victims in Afghanistan has been handed over to the Afghan Red Crescent Society, said the statement adding, that Turkey remains alongside the people of Afghanistan in these difficult circumstances.

It’s mentionable that recent flash floods inflected heavy financial and human losses to the country.
