KABUL: As many as 540 Afghan migrants have been forcibly deported from the neighboring country of Pakistan and returned to the country, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said in a statement.
The ministry quoted Spin Boldak Border Command as saying that the deportees included 98 families, totaling 540 people.
The deportees have been referred to the United Nations-related offices for receiving further assistance, said the statement adding upon entering Afghanistan, each family was provided with 10,000 Afghanis by the Islamic Emirate.
