Shipment of 200 tons of Uzbekistan aid for flood victims arrives in Balkh

KABUL: The 200 tons of humanitarian aids provided by Uzbekistan for the flood-affected people arrived in Balkh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the Uzbek President’s special envoy handed over the aids to the deputy Finance and Administrative Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate Rahmatullah Fuzail, in the Hairatan port of the country.
The aids included 48 tons of flour, 22 tons of rice, 25,000 liters of cooking oil, 100 tents, 96 water reservoirs and some other essentials, the statement said.
While handing over the aids Uzbek President expressed his sympathy with the flood-affected families and said that with the countrywide security bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan strengthened.
Meanwhile, Deputy Foreign Minister appreciating Uzbekistan’s assistance said that the country in the difficult situation has always stood with the people of Afghanistan
