KABUL: Dead of the of Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi, the President, and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian foreign minister of Iran and their accompanying delegation, faced strong reactions.
Speaking in a press conference Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, declared today (Tuesday, May 21) as national mourning in the country.
Earlier, the Indian government, in addition to sending condolences regarding the aircraft crash to senior Iranian officials, had also declared a day of national mourning to express sympathy with the Iranian government and people.
Even before that, for the first time after the news of the aircraft accident was released, Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, also declared a day of national mourning in his country.
Also, the Iranian government has declared five days of national mourning in Iran on the occasion of the killing of the President, Foreign Minister, and a number of other government officials of that country.
The bodies of the victims of the air accident, especially the President of Iran, are scheduled to be buried today in Tabriz, the funeral prayer will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, led by Ali Khamenei, the Leader of Iran, in Tehran, and on Thursday they will be buried in Mashhad.
