KABUL: Construction work on a check dam worth 5.8 million Afghanis (some 80,620 US dollars) has been completed and inaugurated in Zabul province, the Ministry of Water and Energy said in a statement.
The check dam will have been built with a length of 44 meters, height of 5 meters and the capacity to restore 7,000 cubic meters of water, in Aini Shinkay village of Zabul province, said the statement.
With the completion of the check dam, dozens of people were provided with job opportunities.
