KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, has met with Dr. Mohammad Salah Ibrahim, the head of the charity and international development department of Qatar’s Red Cross, the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, said on Thursday on his X account.
In the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and Qatar’s aid to Afghanistan.
Minister Muttaqi, welcoming the visiting delegation, thanked Qatar for its assistance and bilateral cooperation in Afghanistan and called the relations between Kabul and Doha historic.
Dr. Salah said in the meeting that they has provided health services to thousands of Afghans, donated educational materials to homeless schools, and provided food and non-food items for the needy Afghans.
He said that he traveled to Baghlan and distributed aid to the flood victims of the province, as well as opened a 400-bed hospital in Kandahar city and a health clinic in Dand district of Kandahar.
